What is a Social Media Distribution Manager?

The Social Media Distribution Manager will form a formidable partnership with the Head of Content Distribution and Content Distribution Manager, while interfacing with clients, strategists, creatives, data analysts, PR specialists, and social platforms to galvanize around the core idea in the pursuit of the desired client outcome.

The core purpose of this position:
The role is twofold:
1. To deliver best in class social video campaigns, built for attention and backed up by the Emotive Audience Guarantee; and
2. To input into Emotive’s research product – the Emotive Content Dashboard (ECD) – a unique proprietary analysis suite that combines live media performance, AI powered facial coding and survey research.
Reports to: Head of Content Distribution
As a Social Media Distribution Manager at Emotive you will have certain responsibilities, but we don’t see the following list as being your only contributions to the agency. In fact, what we are most excited about is what you pursue above and beyond your everyday duties in setting the scene for growth of the Content Distribution department.
-At least 4-6 years of experience in social media and online video planning and buying
-Proficient in planning & executing both brand and performance social media campaigns
-Intimate knowledge of the key social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Snap, Tik Tok, YouTube, Twitter)
-Understanding of the wider online video marketing landscape, including media partnerships and native advertising.
-Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, as well as Google Sheets
-Excellent understanding of analytics and measurement tools (ideally including data visualisation tools and some knowledge of SQL)
-Awareness and understanding of influencer marketing as part of wider media mix
-Excellent relationship and presentation skills at a senior client level
-Ensure deep understanding of the client’s business and how the Emotive Content Distribution offering can meet those needs
-Day to day management of all digital account activity, from brief to post-campaign analysis
-Develop insightful relationships with platform partners, ensuring best practice campaign delivery
-Take the lead in educating the creative team on platform innovations, ensuring platform intentional creative delivery
-Author and present media plans end-to-end to clients, through robust recommendations by channel, audience analysis, ideation, flighting strategies, setting audience guarantees by channel, as well as the delivery of the ECD analysis
-Responsible for client estimate signoff for Content Distribution (including all paid social)
-Take ownership of the delivery of social campaigns through ongoing tracking via the ECD, alongside both creative and media optimisation
-Work to and meet deadlines and consistently manage client expectations
-Manage campaign budgets and budget reconciliations
-Understand the marketing process and know how to leverage Owned, Bought and Earned assets
-Provide vision and views on the ever-changing social digital landscape to clients and agency stakeholders
-Escalate any issues immediately and ensure the client is informed in a timely manner
-Provide initiatives to drive greater efficiency within the team and way of working process
-Keep your timesheets updated and accurate every week
-Ensure the buys are delivered within approved budgets & pacing and take responsibility for monthly budget reconciliation on all clients
-Ensure any account queries generated are actioned within 48 hours
-Contribute to competitive reporting by adding insightful commentary and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data from the team. Similar process for campaign summaries and all post analysis
-Contribute to strategic development for your clients
-Work closely with Strategy in generating Channel Planning recommendations
-Help to identify new opportunities for clients through the broader Content Distribution offering (PR/native/media partnerships)
-Contribute to new business within the agency
-Provide remarkable client service in order to become your clients’ trusted advisor and agency partner
-Foster fruitful and complimentary working relationships with all other Emotive crew
