The Challenge:
Altos Tequila – the best margarita tequila in the world as voted by bartenders – wanted to increase at-home consumption during the peak summer season for margaritas. The problem was, most people had never heard of it. Luckily for us, the other problem was that most people forget about limes when making margaritas. Poor limes. With Xmas trees going up all over the country on December 1st, we saw an opportunity. Altos Emergency Lime Baubles. We partnered with Aussie comedian Jimmy Rees and Real Housewives of Sydney favourites Krissy Marsh and Nicole O’Neil to get everyone to replace their pretty but useless green baubles with pretty and useful Altos Emergency Lime Baubles. We even delivered 1000’s of them free via Uber Eats, Harris Farm and IGA up and down the country! With a small budget we generated $9.7M in earned media value and grew Altos volume at over three times category growth. And we saved Christmas! A little bit.
